Pirates Sign OL Marcus Harper
ORLANDO, FL - The Orlando Pirates have signed offensive lineman Marcus Harper. The 6’3”, 305 lb. product from the University of Oregon was most recently in the Canadian Football League with the Toronto Argonauts from January 5 through May 31 of this season.

Harper, who played in 44 career games for the Oregon Ducks in the Big Ten, did attend rookie minicamp with the Indianapolis Colts of the National Football League after going undrafted in the 2025 NFL Draft.
A native of Chicago Heights, IL, Harper spent five years in Eugene and started 34 games. In his senior season of 2024 he earned All-Big Ten Third Team honors from the conference coaches and was named All-Big Ten Honorable Mention by the media. That year he started ten of the 11 games in which he played. He did not allow a sack in 376 passing situations. Harper helped Oregon to achieve top 25 status in many offensive categories. At the end of the season the Ducks were ranked 17th in scoring offense with 34.9 points per game, second in total offense with 437.4 yards per contest, 13th in passing offense with 279.5 yards per game and ninth in third down offense converting at 48.60 percent. Harper started in the College Football Playoff quarterfinal against Ohio State in the Rose Bowl.
As a Junior in 2024 he started in all 14 games on an offensive line that led the nation with just five sacks allowed. He played in all 13 games as a sophomore and as a second-year freshman he saw the field in seven games. He did not play in the covid shortened year of 2020.
